Ratesight Intro – Part 1

Welcome to Ratesight Intro 1: Getting Started.

This intro includes the fundamentals of Ratesight and what it’s like to use the platform.

Dashboard – Your dashboard is designed to keep you in the know while giving you quick access to settings and tools. Included in your dashboard are valuable statistics such as how many message invites were sent per month and how many of those invites we clicked.

Reviews – In this area you will be able to keep track of reviews where people have decided not to review you on an alternate website. These reviews can be also be removed or approved. This is an area where you can see less than reputable reviews and try to contact the customer if needed. Removing unwanted reviews can be completed with the click of a button. When approving reviews they will be added to your embed link where you can display them on your website.

Bulk Send – Bulk sending review invites needs to be used carefully and is not intended for spamming. Typically once the customer has given their consent, bulk sends can be a quick way to send invites for organizations with lots of daily customers.

My Account – In the My Account area, you can update your profile which allows potential reviewers to know that they are writing a review for the right business. This makes updating your account information very important to using Ratesight.

My Social Sites – The My Social Sites tab provides an area for you to connect to your preferred social media accounts. Filling out your My Social Sites page will activate your account and initiate the ability to send out review invites.

Tutorials – In the Tutorials area we recommend you watch the videos when you first create your account. By watching the video tutorials you will be all set with your account and one-time setup.

Send SMS – Sending SMS messages through your Ratesight account is as easy as clicking a button and added in the customer’s name and phone number. Make sure to have everything set up first so that you will be sending out invites in no time.

Send E-mail – Sending out Email messages is similar to SMS in that through your Ratesight account it is easy to send a message. Make sure to have everything set up in your account so that you can send out email invites.

iOS and Android App – With each Ratesight account you will be able to send review invites on iOS or Android phones through the mobile app. This makes it easy to keep your reputation growing from anywhere you’d like!

Follow the steps below to connect your social pages and start sending out review invites.

  1. Login or Create an account
  2. Visit My Account and make sure that it has been completely filled out.
  3. Next visit My Account> My Social Sites Tab

Follow these steps below to connect your social pages and start sending out more review invites. Filling out you My Social Sites page will activate your account and initiate the ability to send out review invites.

  1. Login or Create an account
  2. Visit My Account> My Social Sites
  3. Go to http://findmyfbid.com and enter your Facebook URL. Copy and paste that number and add it to the Facebook field on the Social Sites page.
  4. Go to My Profile and enter all the information and your business will be connected to Google.
  5. Find your business on http://yelp.com. Then click ‘Write A Review’. Go to the URL and copy the characters after /biz/ and before ?return_url=. Make sure you paste this code in your Yelp field in the My Social Sites tab.

Make sure that once you have successfully setup your account quickly visit the App or Google Play Store to download and login to Ratesight with your mobile device.

How do I setup my Google, Facebook and Yelp pages?

Google:

How do I connect my Google, Facebook and Yelp?

The most important thing to do once you’ve created your Ratesight account is to connect your social pages.

Follow these steps below to connect your social pages and start sending out more review invites.

    1. Make sure you are logged in to your Ratesight account

 

    1. Visit My Account> My Social Sites

 

    1. Go to http://findmyfbid.com and enter your Facebook page URL. Copy your generated Facebook number and paste it to the Facebook field on the Social Sites page in your Ratesight account.

 

    1. Go to My Profile and enter all the information and your business will be connected to Google.

 

  1. Find your business on http://yelp.com. Then click ‘Write A Review’’s button. Go to the URL and copy the characters after /biz/ and before ?return_url=. Paste this code in the Yelp field in the My Social Sites tab.

How To: Connect My Reviews To My Website

How do I connect my reviews to my website?

Connecting your Ratesight account to your website is a great way to display more of your reviews to potential customers.

    1. Login to your Ratesight Account

 

    1. Go to My Resources and find the ‘Review Page Embed Code’.

 

    1. Copy code and paste it on your websites HTML

 

You may want to create an all new review page for your website to display reviews and add this code.

How To: Customize My Invite Messages
How do I customize my invite messages? Customizing your Ratesight invites messages provides one of the best ways to connect directly with your audience. Those you invite want to hear from you and would happy to write a raving review if they are asked in the best way. Use these steps to customize your invites messages.
    1. Login to your Ratesight Account
 
    1. Select My Account>My Social Sites
 
    1. Scroll down to Default SMS Message and Default E-mail Message.
 
    1. You may customize your messages to reflect what you think your clients would like to read.
  These message invites can be creative and may take time to develop. Keep sending out invites and refining your invite messages.

In this area you will be able to import a tab delimited TXT file that includes the name of the customer a tab and there preferred contact method. Here you will find an example file in case you need assistance.

Once you have imported the file you will the click the process button to initiate the bulk send.

How do I track and optimize my reviews?

    1. Click on the Reviews area on the left.

How To: Turn on Advanced Settings and Send Promotions.

To send emails from your company email and activate promotions you will need to turn on the Advanced settings located at the bottom of the My Account page.

Mail Settings – Ratesight allows you to send emails directly from your company email. To use your company email, please provide your SMTP server settings. If you don’t know your SMTP mail server settings, you can request them from your web hosting provider.

Go to My Account and select the Mail Settings tab. Fill out the forms with your correct mailing credentials.

Example:

From Address: info@mybusiness.com

Username: info@mybusiness.com

Password: MyPassword

Outgoing Mail Server: mail.mybusiness.com

Outgoing Server Port: 465

Send Promotions – Follow the steps below to send a promotions to customers

Send SMS

Login to your Ratesight Account

2. Make sure your My Account pages are completely filled out.

3. Click the Promote link once you have activated the Advanced settings.

4. Click the red Send SMS button.

5. Add the name of the customer, Edit the message if necessary and click the send button.

Send Email

Login to your Ratesight Account

2. Make sure your My Account pages are completely filled out.

4. Click the red Send E-mail button.

5. Add the name of the customer, Edit the message if necessary and click the send button.

Send To List

Login to your Ratesight Account

2. Make sure your My Account pages are completely filled out.

3. Click the Promote link once you have activated the Advanced settings.

4. Click the blue Send To List button

5. Click the browse button to upload your contact list

6. Write your SMS message or Email and click the send button.

Campaigns

Ratesight allows you to send SMS and Email campaigns for customers who have previously written reviews. To create a new campaign go to My Account and select the My Campaigns tab. Fill out the form with the type of message you would like and how many days you would like the message to send after they have reviewed your business.

You can write as many messages as you would like and automate the sends by checking Enable Auto Campaigns.
